The MUSSO LORENZO company was established in 1977 as a one-man business capitalizing on Lorenzo’s many years of experience in construction of farming machinery.
The product portfolio was expanded in time to include silos, mixers and augers for plastic materials and meet the diverse needs of a large customer base.
During the 90’s, Lorenzo’s sons joined the family business and boosted company growth. An engineering office was opened to develop new solutions and improve existing designs. New metal sheet machinery (a 3000x5 shearing machine, a 3000x6 bending machine, a three-roller section bending machine and a 3000x5 semi-automatic four-roller calendaring machine) and welding machinery (MIG, TIG and MIG pulsed arc welders) were purchased.
After years of steady growth, production today includes large-sized mixers (up to 3500 mm in diameter and 9000 mm in height) for customers seeking results for processing large bulks of materials.

LIVESTOCK SECTOR

Our portfolio originally concentrated on mills, mixers and augers for preparing and conveying feed and grains.
As the years went by and we gained more and more specialized experience, our mills range was split into two parallel branches:
• auger mills for producing courser meal and wet feed (fodder for sheep and cattle)
• cyclone mills for producing finer meal and preventing overheating in order to maintain the nutritional properties of the fodder (fodder for swine and dairy cows)
The range of mixers - used for meal storage - was expanded, firstly with the construction of models with underground tank followed by models with overground tank and forced loading systems.
Electric control panels with PLC, inverter, synoptic panels and electric devices are provided for controlling all types of machines.
We also make mills and stainless steel augers for milling human foodstuff products (basil, mint and spinach).

AUGERS

Our auger conveyors are suitable for conveying cereals, mixtures, meal and grain products.

MV FARMING MIXERS

With specialized experience in this field, we have developed simple and cost-effective solutions for mixing meal, vitamins, etc. and preparing cattle and swine fodder.

MG HAMMER MILLS

Our MG hammer mills are actuated by the tractor PTO (540 rpm) and designed to grind all types of cereals (maize, barley, oats, ears of corn, etc.) for making meal of various coarseness according to the chosen grid size.

MIXER MILL ON WHEELS

Our mixer mills on wheels are designed to be conveniently moved about to load cereals for grinding and to unload the finished product directly into the troughs.

PLASTIC MATERIALS SECTOR

Our product range was expanded during the 80’s to include machinery for mixing and conveying plastic materials. The first machines were very similar to our livestock products. We later developed particular technical devices for improving functionality, ensuring a longer working lifespan and improving the final processed product quality with an eye to the intensive use which is specific of these machines.
Our selection now features mixers with capacity of over 20,000 litres and storages silos made of Fe 37 carbon steel, AISI 304 stainless steel and aluminium.
Our machines may be supplied singularly or as a part of complete feeding systems (big bag supporting frames with extractable bed or hoist) with auger conveyors, pneumatic systems (compression and suction), elevators, conveyor belts and reddler conveyors, valves and electro-pneumatic switches and complete electronic and electronic control systems.
All our machines comply with the most recent safety standards and are provided with use and maintenance instruction manuals and CE declaration of conformity.

VERTICAL PLASTIC MATERIAL MIXERS

We have exploited our experience to develop rational, cost-effective answers to plastic material mixing problems (granules, ground materials and densified materials), including processing materials of different colours or with added masters and pigments.
The loading capacity of the mixers varies according to needs from 500 to 32,000 litres (larger capacities are available upon request).

SERVICE, WARRANTY AND USED MACHINES

Our machines, assembled with the use of modern equipment, are made of high quality materials and comply with CE standards. They respect the most stringent standards regarding safety at the workplace.
When we deliver a machine to the customer, we demonstrate all its functions by running a short cycle before handing over the use and maintenance instruction manual and the CE conformity declaration.
Customers requiring assistance can contact our offices. Our technicians will rapidly examine the problem, find the best solution, dispatch spare parts as soon as possible and explain the repair procedure. We provide on-site assistance when needed.
Used machines are overhauled and parts are changed as required to make old machines comply with current CE standards.
